History
Maisa AI was founded in 2024 by David Villalón (CEO) and Manuel Romero (CSO) with its double headquarters located in Valencia, Spain and San Francisco, California, USA.[2]
In August 2025, Maisa AI raised US$25 million in seed funding round led by Creandum, with participation from Forgepoint Capital, NFX, and Village Global.[3][4][5]
In July 2025, the company's platform Maisa Studio became available through Amazon Web Services.[6]
Business model
Maisa AI operates on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model with the possibility for private cloud or on-premises deployment designed for large, regulated enterprises such as banking, insurance, financial services, and energy sectors.[7] Its core offerings include the creation, deployment, and governance of autonomous AI agents also known as “Digital Workers” that can perform goal-oriented tasks, adapt to changing conditions, and interact with business teams and systems. [8]
