MySwimPro, Inc. is a technology and media company founded in 2015 that developed the MySwimPro mobile app, which offers swimming and strength training plans, workouts and analytics that sync with Apple Inc. and Garmin smartwatches.
MySwimPro is available to download for free on iOS and Android smartphones.
Overview
MySwimPro launched in 2015, and allows swimmers to create, track and log swimming and dryland workouts and track analytics.
MySwimPro is available in the Apple App Store[1] and the Google Play Store[2], and is compatible with Apple and Garmin smartwatches.
On its launch in 2015, MySwimPro provided swim workouts only. In 2020, MySwimPro added strength training (called dryland training) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3]
MySwimPro was named Apple's App of the Year for Apple Watch in 2016.[4] In 2019, the app reached 1 million downloads and has been translated into 9 languages.
The company was founded by Adam Oxner, Michael Allon and Fares Ksebati (who also serves as CEO).[5] The MySwimPro team works remotely, with headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan.[6] Employees are located in North America, South America, Asia and Europe.[7]
Paid Features
MySwimPro operates with a freemium model. Free features include:
- Write and log unlimited swim and dryland workouts
- Save up to 3 workouts in the Workout Library
- Log workouts with or without a smartwatch
- "Quick Log" distance
- Track total distance swum and number of workouts logged
- Join monthly challenges and earn badges
MySwimPro's paid features include:[8]
- Access to a workout algorithm that auto-fills workout intervals based on skill level
- Swimming and dryland training plans
- Swimming and dryland workout library and Workout of the Day
- Analytics, including heart rate, splits, strokes per lap, SWOLF score, distance and average pace
- Quarterly coaching calls
- Access to the app's video library
MySwimPro offers 3 paid subscriptions:[9] ELITE COACH, Swim Pack and Dryland Pack. ELITE COACH provides access to all of MySwimPro's swimming and dryland training programs, coaching and analytics. Swim Pack gives access to swimming only, and Dryland Pack gives access to dryland only.
Integrations
MySwimPro is compatible with the Apple Watch Series 3 and up. It also syncs with the Apple Health app.
The app is also compatible with some Garmin smartwatches via Garmin Sync and the Garmin Connect IQ App.[10]
MySwimPro integrates with Google Fit for Android device users. Swimmers can also connect their MySwimPro accounts to Strava.
Awards
In 2016, Apple named MySwimPro the Apple Watch App of the Year.[11]
In 2017, Wareable included MySwimPro in a list of swimming apps for Apple Watch Series 2.[12]
MySwimPro Co-founders Fares Ksebati and Adam Oxner were included in Forbes' 2020 30 Under 30 list.[13]
In 2020, Prevention included MySwimPro in its list of the 20 Best Health Apps.[14]
Greatist named MySwimPro among its 30 best workout apps for 2021.[15]
World Swim Day
In 2018, MySwimPro founded World Swim Day,[16] an international holiday designed to increase awareness for water safety and raises funds for learn-to-swim organizations.[17] It is held on the fourth Saturday of October each year.[18]
