QuSecure, Inc. is an American cybersecurity company that builds software to help organizations prepare for and resist attacks enabled by future quantum computers. Its products focus on post-quantum cryptography (PQC), cryptographic discovery and orchestration ("crypto-agility"), and compliance.
History
QuSecure was founded in 2019. In May 2022, the company announced its commercial launch and introduced its QuProtect platform along with its senior leadership team.[1] At the same year, QuSecure received a U.S. Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III award related to post-quantum cryptography.[2]
On 27 March 2023, QuSecure and Accenture completed a live multi-orbit data communications test using post-quantum cryptography, demonstrating crypto-agility across satellite links.[3] In May 2024, the company was named one of America’s Best Startup Employers by Forbes[4] and the 2024 Global Product Leader in the post-quantum cryptography industry by Frost & Sullivan.[5]
In June 2024, the company announced participation in industry initiatives, including NVIDIA’s cuPQC library and Accenture Project Spotlight.[6][7] Also, Frost & Sullivan named QuSecure Global Product Leader in Post-Quantum Cybersecurity.[8]
In September, the World Economic Forum’s Quantum Application Hub was launched as a platform to present real-world applications of quantum technologies and support knowledge sharing among policymakers, industry, and academia.[9]
In February 2025, QuSecure announced the closing of an additional Series A funding round totaling $28 million, led by Two Bear Capital with participation from Accenture Ventures, and appointed Rebecca Krauthamer as chief executive officer.[10][11]
In May, Forrester Research referenced QuSecure’s approach to orchestrated crypto-agility in its Architect’s Guide to Quantum Security as an example of recommended practice for post-quantum cryptography migration.[12]
Product
QuSecure’s primary product is QuProtect, a cloud-native platform that provides post-quantum (quantum-resilient) cryptography and crypto-agility to protect data in transit and at rest.[13] Unlike traditional cryptographic upgrades that often require hardware overhauls, QuProtect utilizes a network-based model. This approach allows organizations to overlay quantum-resilient tunnels onto existing infrastructure without altering underlying application code.[14][15][16]
QuProtect was validated through independent audits (SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II) and through ecosystem collaborations and tests — for example, a multi-orbit communications demonstration with Accenture and participation in NVIDIA’s cuPQC initiative.[17][18][19]
QuSecure is an early participant in the U.S. federal government’s transition to quantum-resilient standards.[20] The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has identified the company as a provider for PQC products within the federal ecosystem. The company’s technology has been utilized in pilot deployments and demonstrations, including a 2023 multi-orbit satellite communications link conducted in collaboration with Accenture, which tested PQC across low-Earth orbit (LEO) and geosynchronous orbit (GEO) satellites.[21]
In the financial sector, QuSecure’s implementation at Banco Sabadell was cited in a case study within the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) Post-Quantum Financial Infrastructure Framework.[22][23]
