sgBEAT was a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows users to send updates (known as Beats) through short messages or links, which can be up to 140 text characters in length. sgBEAT allows people to share moments of life easily on the Web through beats along with photographs and maps, it also allows people stay up to date with the latest happenings within their social circle from a single platform and at their own leisure. sgBEAT mainly used in Singapore. The service was discontinued since 2012.
