Softgarden is a Berlin-based company that develops recruitment software solutions.[1][2][3][4][5]. The company was founded in Saarbrücken in 2003.[6]. In March 2014, softgarden merged with 1000jobboersen.de (a job ad media planning service). The combined company (softgarden E-Recruiting) closed a "seven-figure" funding round from investors Cipio Partners and Alexander Brühl.[7]

In 2018 softgarden was acquired by Investcorp Technology Partners (ITP) as part of its Investcorp Technology Partners Fund IV.[8][9][10][11]. In November 2019, softgarden received the HR Excellence Award 2019 as the best HR management software.[12]

In 2021, softgarden launched its The Talent Acquisition Suite, a collection of recruiting tools including its core product an applicant tracking system (ATS). It designed for corporate recruiting processes[13][14] and includes sourcing, employer branding and applicant management.[15][16] All employer and candidate data is stored on a highly secure remote server in Germany.[17]

In 2021, softgarden acquired absence.io, integrating features like time tracking, vacation and absence management, and digital HR management into its product offering.[8][18][19]

In June 2022, Investcorp Technology Partners (ITP) sell softgarden e-recruiting GmbH to Grupa Pracuj.[8][20][21][22][23][24] softgarden was 98.95 percent owned by a by Investcorp.[20]

According to the Fosway 9-Grid(TM) Recruiting Report 2022 and 2023, softgarden is one of the core leaders among European providers of talent acquisition suites.[25]
