From HandWiki

Softr Platforms GmbH is a German company based in Berlin that provides software as a service for web application development and hosting. Softr is a no-code platform that allows building complex web apps for external and internal use as well as marketing websites based on Airtable data using pre-made building blocks.

Overview

Softr applications are built using a variety of pre-made blocks (e.g. Header, Hero, Feature Grid, List, List Details), each of which has a number of different layouts itself. [1] [2] The service is integrated with Airtable that serves as a database. Thus, users can store their data on Airtable and link their Airtable bases to Softr blocks to represent the data on the site. The platform offers a freemium subscription model with Free, Starter, Professional, and Business subscription plans.

Softr is used by small and medium businesses owners and operators as well as solopreneurs and creators. Its use cases include client portals, internal tools, marketplaces, online communities, resource directories, marketing websites, and more. [3] The platform allows defining different access levels for each section on the site, creating gated content accessible to paying users only, conditional filtering of the data from Airtable (each user sees data only relevant to him/her), and more.

Further on, the platform provides a number of templates for each use case to help the users get started. Each template has an Airtable base with relevant data linked to it (if the use case implies a database) that the users can start modifying as soon as they create their application from the template.

Softr offers integrations with a number of popular third-party services including Zapier, Integromat, Drift Chat, Intercom, Hotjar, and others.
