Talkwalker, Inc. is a social media listening and analytics company[1][2] that monitors and analyzes online conversations and images[3] across social media networks, and news websites.[4] The company is headquartered in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg.[5]

History

Talkwalker was founded in 2009 by Christophe Folschette and Thibaut Britz in Luxembourg City.[6] The company was initially named Trendiction and was part of Lux Future Lab, a startup incubator. It offered social data intelligence solutions.[7][8][9]

In 2015, Talkwalker opened its first overseas office in New York City. The company also has offices in San Francisco and Frankfurt.

In January 2017, the company announced raising €5M in funding from Dutch software investor, Main Mezzanine Capital.

Services

The company offers services that include Talkwalker Alerts[10], Talkwalker social listening & analytics, Talkwalker Free Social Search[11], Talkwalker AI Engine, and Quick Search, a social media search engine.[12][13][14]

Talkwalker's listening and analytics platform is used by clients including AccorHotels, Caffeina, Crédit Agricole, Duracell, Estée Lauder, Hachette Book Group, Merck, Vodafone and Hong Kong Airlines.

Acquisition

In Jan 2018, Marlin Equity Partners, a private equity firm, acquired a majority stake in Talkwalker with approximately $6.7 billion of capital under management.[15][16]
