Tekion Corporation is a California -based SaaS unicorn that provides cloud-driven software solutions centering automotive retail and dealer industry.[1][2] It was founded in 2016 by Jay Vijayan, current CEO of Tekion and a former Tesla executive, and Guru Sankararaman who currently holds CFO and VP of operations position at Tekion.[3][4]
History
Tekion was operating in stealth mode for initial few years after inception.[5]
In 2020, Tekion launched Automotive Retail Cloud (ARC), a cloud-based AI-driven dealer management platform.[6][7] Later that same year, Tekion became a unicorn company after raising $150 million as part of its series C funding round led by private equity firm Advent International.[2][8]
