Company:Tines

From HandWiki

Tines is an Irish company that makes low-code/no-code automation software for other companies.[1][2][3][4] Tines' platform can be integrated with other tools via an application programming interface, and is used by cybersecurity, IT, development operations and HR teams.[5][6][7][8]

Tines' software can be used to create and deploy automated workflows using a drag-and-drop GUI interface, without the need for code.[9][10][11]

The company's headquarters are in Dublin, Ireland with offices in Boston and San Francisco.[12][13][14]

Company history

Tines was founded in February 2018 by Thomas Kinsella and Eoin Hinchy, who previously led DocuSign’s global cybersecurity research center in Dublin.[15][16] The company quickly gained traction within the cybersecurity community, with customers including GitHub, Coinbase, Canva, McKesson and OpenTable.[17][18][19]

Tines has formed partnerships with numerous cybersecurity vendors in order to enable no-code implementation of security flows. In May 2022, Tines announced an integration with Elastic's cloud-scale prevention, detection, and response capabilities.[20]

In August 2023, Tines partnered with Code42 to release Incydr Flows, allowing companies to build automated flows for data loss detection and response using Tines' no-code solution.[21] Tines also has integrations with CrowdStrike, Databricks, Okta, Wiz,[22] JupiterOne and others.[23][24][25][26]

API tracker indicates Tines has 45 unique integrations as of August 2023.[27]

Funding

Tines has raised a total of $96.2 million from a combination of venture capital funds and investors:

The company has received several rounds of funding, including a $4.1M series A round of funding led by Blossom.[28]

  • Series A — In October 2019, Tines raised $4.1M from Blossom Capital.[29]
  • Series A-1 — In December 2019, Tines raised $11M from Accel and Index Ventures.[30]
  • Series B-1 — In October 2022, Tines raised $55 million from Felicis.[34][35]

The company was valued at more than $300 million as of their latest funding round.[36]

Awards and recognition

Tines is frequently listed in the press as a notable business,[37][38][39][40] including LinkedIn's "Top Startups 2022".[41][42] Tines was also recognized as one of WIRED's "Hottest Startups in Dublin" in 2022.[43]

In 2023, Tines was the winner of the "Game Changer Award" at the 2023 Insider Risk Excellence Awards,[44] and was recognized on Redpoint Ventures' "InfraRed 100" list, honoring "transformative companies in cloud infrastructure".[45]
