Topaz Labs
Topaz Labs is a software company that develops artificial intelligence software for image and video upscaling. Based in Dallas, the company was founded in 2008 by Albert Yang. The current CEO of Topaz Labs is Eric Yang.[1]
Topaz Labs develops Photo AI, Gigapixel AI, DeNoise AI, and Sharpen AI for image upscaling, and Video AI for upscaling video.
History
The company produced a number of image editing applications that are no longer supported, before switching to AI-based techniques in 2018 with the launch of Gigapixel AI. They have since released several other applications[2] designed to improve the visual quality of images and video.[3][4]
Products
Photo AI
Photo AI[5][6][7] uses artificial intelligence to improve noise, blurriness, lens or motion blur, and low resolution in images. Launched in 2022, it can be used as a plug-in with other image editing software.
Video AI
Launched in 2022, Video AI[8] is an application with upscaling, deinterlacing, frame interpolation, and stabilization features for video editors.
Gigapixel AI
Gigapixel AI[9][10] is an image resolution enhancement application, launched in 2018.
DeNoise AI
Designed to improve the quality of noisy images, DeNoise AI[11] was launched in 2019.
Sharpen AI
Also released in 2019, Sharpen AI[12] is an application built to improve images with different kind of blurriness like motion or lens blur.
