Velocity Global, or Velocity Global, LLC, is an American-based international PEO services company which provides technology solutions to allow companies to hire and support global workforces.

History

Velocity Global was founded by Ben Wright in 2014 in Denver, Colorado as a way for companies to expand and hire across global markets. As of 2021, the company is projected to have $1 billion in pro-forma revenue in 2022 [1].

In 2020, Velocity Global announced a new European HQ in Amsterdam, Netherlands as well as an APAC HQ in Singapore [2] [3].

In 2021, Velocity Global established a five person board of directors to guide the company’s vision, chaired by CEO Ben Wright [4]. Velocity Global acquired iWorkGlobal, a leader in talent engagement solutions, and received a $100 million minority growth investment from FFL Partners [5]. Later that year it also acquired Shield GEO, a global Employer of Record provider [6].

Products

Velocity Global offers a full suite of products to hire and support employees based outside of a company’s country of origin, including hiring tools, HR tools, payroll tools, and more.

In 2017, Velocity Global launched a Global Recruiting service line to support the hiring of employees in over 185 countries [7].

In 2018, Velocity Global announced a new Global Mergers & Acquisitions division to facilitate global transactions and expansions of portfolio companies into new international markets [8].

In 2019, Velocity Global launched a virtual guide to the most promising countries for business expansion [9].

In 2022, Velocity Global integrated its Contractor Payments solution into its Global Work Platform™ [10].

Sponsorships

Velocity Global has done extensive work with the PGA Tour and operates as an official marketing partner and “Official Global Workforce Solutions” Sponsor [11]. In 2021, Velocity Global partnered with the PGA Tour and Golf Channel to become the presenting sponsor of PGA Tour University which provides a ranking system to NCAA I golfers [12].

In 2020, Velocity Global announced a partnership with 7-time PGA Tour Champion, Billy Horschel, and in 2021, 4-time APGA Tour champion Kevin Hall joined Velocity Global and Horschel as a global brand ambassador [13]. They expanded their roster of global golf ambassadors in 2022 and welcomed 11-time LPGA Tour champion, Lexi Thompson, and LPGA Tour participant, Albane Valenzuela [14].

In 2021, Velocity Global announced Robert Herjavec, investor, entrepreneur and star of ABC’s Shark Tank, as its global ambassador [15].

In 2022, Velocity Global was named the Official Global Work Platform of the LPGA and Ladies European Tour in a multi-year agreement [16]. In 2022, LPGA and LET additionally announced the Velocity Global Impact Award which will celebrate players who have given back to their communities [17].

In 2022, Velocity Global entered into a partnership with the Colorado Rockies making Velocity Global the official global workforce solutions platform of the Colorado Rockies. As part of the partnership, Velocity Global will present the fastest pitch of the game after the first six innings in addition to receiving an in-game feature [18].
