Voot, launched in March 2016, forms the digital arm of Viacom 18. It is Viacom18's advertising-led video-on-demand platform[2] that is available as an app for iOS[3] and Android[4] users, and a website for desktop consumption.

Voot is available only in India , and hosts over 40,000 hours of video content[4] that includes shows from channels like MTV, Nickelodeon and Colors.[2] Content is also available in multiple languages like Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati and Tamil.[5]

Programming

Voot has content from Colors TV, MTV India, Nickelodeon India and other Viacom 18 owned television channels. It also hosts many Bollywood films for streaming.[6] It has produced several 'Voot Original' shows for streaming as well. In the children’s segment, it is working on shows in Malayalam and Telugu.[7]

  • Untag, comedy-drama series starring Meiyang Chang, VJ Andy, Dipannita Sharma and Shiv Pandit; seven episodes.[18]
  • Yo Ke Hua Bro, comedy series starring Aparshakti Khurana, Gaurav Pandey, Ridhima Pandit, Sumeet Vyas and Shamita Shetty; five episodes.[19]
  • HDFC Life Youngstars Season 2, a one-of-its-kind digital talent hunt for kids. The participants were mentored by popular celebrities: Salman Yusuff Khan, Jay Bhanushali, Harshdeep Kaur & Leslie Lewis.[20]
  • Time Out, drama series starring Tahir Raj Bhasin and Sarah-Jane Dias; six episodes.[21][22]
