Wastebits is an Akron, Ohio-based software and data analytics company that focuses on tools for managing regulated waste transactions online, centralizing data collection and reporting, and replacing paper documentation with a digital format.[1] The company was founded in 2012 aboard StartupBus, and released its first commercial software product to the public in 2014.[2]
Raymond Lewis, one of the co-founders of Wastebits joined the EPA's advisory board in 2016 to help develop a national electronic system to track hazardous waste shipments, which has been launched and is known as the EPA's e-Manifest system.[3]
In 2018 the Wastebits logo and color scheme was applied to NASCAR Xfinity Series #2 car driven by racer Matt Tifft.[4]
