The Cyrillo-Methodian Encyclopedia is a 4-volume specialized and sectoral edition of the Institute of Literature at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences from 1985 to 2003. It contains thematic articles on Cyrillo-Methodian Studies.[1][failed verification]

The focus is on Old Bulgarian literature and paleoslavistics.[2][failed verification]

Contains articles from a number of areas of public and cultural medieval life in the Bulgarian lands, as well as those in the Serbian, Wallachian, Moldavian and Russian. Its articles include related topics in the fields of history and archeology, architecture and fine arts, applied arts and music. The information transmitted is in the context of the Christianization of Bulgaria and the Slavic world in Southeastern and Eastern Europe, as well as of Bulgarian-Byzantine relations.[citation needed]
