Digital story board

A digital storyboard is a digitally created set of images used in film production.

Technique

A digital storyboard is created in a similar way to one drawn on paper. The storyboard artist draws on a graphics tablet using a program such as Photoshop or the Toon Boom Animation products Toon Boom Storyboard Pro or Toon Boom Storyboard.

Digital animatic

When voice samples and the sound track are available, it is possible to create a digital animatic by exporting all the samples together and playing them on QuickTime after synchronising them, or by making a different animatic using the software already used to create the storyboard.
