Dumpert is a popular Dutch online video platform and image sharing website owned by Mediahuis. Users (responders) can upload videos, photos, sound fragments and rate them with 'kudos'. Based on the amount of kudos, a top five with the most popular videos is compiled daily. Users can also post comments.
The website was launched by GeenStijl, a Dutch blog and news website in January 2007. The first video on Dumpert was uploaded on 20 March 2006 and is about Happy slapping. At that time the website was mainly used as an attachment for blog posts for GeenStijl
