Polonyna (Ukrainian: полони́на) polonina (Rusyn: полони́на) or połonina (Polish spelling) is a landform type, an area of subalpine and alpine meadows in the upper zone of the Eastern Beskids (Ukrainian Carpathians, Bieszczady Mountains, etc.), used as pasture. [1][2][3]

A number of toponyms use this word: Polonina Rivna (uk), Polonina Borzhava (uk), Polonina Krasna (uk), etc.
