Asia

  • Tamborasi River, in Southeast Sulawesi in Indonesia, approximately 20 meters long
  • Singapore River, 3.2 kilometers long
  • Pasig River, 25.2 kilometers long

Europe

  • Kuokanjoki in Finland is 3.5 meters long, connecting Lake Sumiainen and Lake Keitele (to be precise, the region of the latter named Ala-Keitele)
  • Kovasselva, on the island Hitra in Norway , approximately 20 meters long depending on the tide
  • Reprua River, Georgia, 27 meters
  • Ombla, river near Dubrovnik in Croatia, approximately 30 meters long
  • Jezernica, the shortest river in Slovenia near Idrija, approximately 55 meters long
  • Ljutica, the shortest river in Montenegro located in Pljevlja municipality. It is a tributary of the river Tara and is 135 meters long.
  • Aril River, shortest river of Italy (near Lago di Garda), 175 meters
  • Fiumelatte River, Italy, 250 meters
  • The Norrström and Söderström of Stockholm, Sweden, run approximately 350 m from the lake Mälaren, past the island of Stadsholmen (Norrström to the North, the Söderström to the South) to the Baltic Sea
  • Vrelo, Serbia, Bajina Bašta, 365 meters
  • The Pader, Germany, 4.4 kilometers long. Its more than 700 springs lie in a park in the city center of Paderborn, Germany, from where it flows into the larger river Lippe in a Paderborn suburb.
  • River Corrib, Ireland, 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) long. Despite its short length, it has the second-largest flow of any river in Ireland (104.8 m3/s)
  • River Cart, Renfrew, near Glasgow, Scotland (0.75 mile (1 km) long).

  • Powell River, British Columbia, Canada , is a natural river 1005 meters or 3297 feet (around 5/8 of a mile) long
  • Link River, Oregon, United States, 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers)[1]
  • Comal River, Texas , United States, 2.5 miles (4 kilometers)
  • Dunn's River, Jamaica, 180+ meters.[2]

South America

  • Azuis River, Aurora do Tocantins, Tocantins, Brazil is, at 147 meters, the shortest river of Brazil
  • Correntoso River, Villa La Angostura, Neuquén, Argentina is, at 200–300 meters (depending on the height of the neighbouring lakes Correntoso and Nahuel Huapi), the shortest river of Argentina
