In computer hardware, a disk restore card, restore card, reborn card[1] or disk protection card[2] is an expansion card that can restore the hard disk drive / solid state drive data in every computer boot process, it can undone partial or all file system changes since previous boot. For this feature, the disk restore card can protect the operating system installed on hard disk drive / solid state drive. The disk restore card is usually used on schools, libraries and internet cafes.
The disk restore card can protect the computer from computer virus and incorrect configurations.
Details
The disk restore card is a PCI or PCI Express based expansion card, and it consists an Option ROM loaded by the BIOS or by the UEFI/BIOS.
