HBWAT UAV is a Chinese experimental UAV developed by Hebei Wing Aviation Technology Co., Ltd (HBWAT, 翼华航空科技有限责任公司), which is planned to be developed into a manned version in the future.
Seesaw
Seesaw UAV is an experimental UAV to prove the technical feasibility of flying car, and the general designer led the design team of Seesaw totaling seven members is also the general manager of HBWAT, Mr. Yang Zhao-Xi (杨朝习).[1] Seesaw UAV has an unusual look in that it appears to be a seesaw, and hence its name (Qiao-Qiao-Ban or Qiaoqiaoban, 跷跷板).[2] The fulcrum of the seesaw is a small car, while the lever consists of two ducted fans, one on each end of the lever.[2] Ducted fan provides lift when the lever is horizontal, and once airborne, the difference between lift generated by lift fans would provide thrust for level flight when the lever is tilted. By adjusting how much the lever is tilted, the UAV is capable of flying in any directions.[2] Ducted fans of Seesaw is powered by a gasoline engine, while on the ground, the vehicle is electrically powered.[2] Seesaw UAV is remotely piloted,[1] and the plan is to eventually develop it into a manned version for transportation applications, with capacity to seat three to four passengers.[2] Specification:[3]
