The Jetour Zongheng F700 (Chinese: 捷途纵横F700; pinyin: Jié tú zònghéng F700) is an upcoming plug-in hybrid full-size pickup truck to be produced by Chery under the Jetour brand.

Overview

Three models were revealed alongside Jetour's Zongheng series on January 22nd, 2025: the G700, the F700, and the G900. The Zongheng F700 and the Zongheng G900 were shown as concepts, while the Zongheng G700 had its pre-production version revealed. It will be the 2nd model of the Zongheng series.[3]

The F700's official launch is expected to take place in 2026. It is expected to be sold internationally as the Jetour F700, although it is not yet confirmed for an international release.[4] The Citizen and TopAuto report that the F700 will be sold as the Jetour P5 in South Africa beginning in 2027.[1][5]

Design and features

The production version of the Zongheng F700 will use the same design language as the Zongheng G700.[2][1] The concept version had rear-hinged doors, cameras replacing the side mirrors, no B-pillars, all-terrain tires, and wide wheel arches.[6]

Spyshots indicate the F700's interior will feature a 13-inch central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster, leather seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, and physical controls for air conditioning.[7]

Powertrain and chassis

The Zongheng F700 will share the CDM-O plug-in hybrid powertrain with the Zongheng G700. which means the Zongheng F700 will use a 2.0 liter turbocharged inline 4 codenamed SQRH4J20 producing around 208 horsepower. The Zongheng F700 will also share its transmission with the Zongheng G700.[2]

The F700's chassis uses double wishbone suspension in the front and multi-link suspension in the rear.[7]

The exact amount of motors to be used by the CDM-O system in the Zongheng F700 is disputed. Websites such as CarExpert and Formacar say the Zongheng F700 will use a dual-motor layout, while websites such as BitAuto and multiple Chinese sources claiming it will use a quad-motor layout.[2][8][2] However, it is more likely to use a dual-motor layout. The F700 will also use CATL's Shenxing battery already used by the Zongheng G700.[4]

Notes

1.^ Leaked design patents from Argentina were the first to show off the Zongheng F700's design, which confirmed that the design language would be similar to the Zongheng G700.
2.^ The CDM-O plug-in hybrid system shown at the reveal of the Zongheng series, which is the system to be used in the Zongheng F700, uses two motors. The CEM-O system for extended range EVs uses a quad-motor layout.
