Payam-E-Afghan TV is an Afghan-centric satellite television network based in Los Angeles , California . It launched in 2007 through a US government aid program and broadcasts news, music, and entertainment shows in primarily the Persian and Pashto languages. It is a channel owned and supported financially by Omar Khetab.
The station also had multiple programs and shows from Mir Mateen, who is the father of the perpetrator of the Orlando nightclub shooting, Omar Mateen.
In 2008, the station became available in Europe. It currently broadcasts on Eutelsat 7B 7°E and on Hot Bird 13°E.
