Engineering:Synthetic rope
From HandWiki
Synthetic rope is rope made from synthetic fibers.[1][2] Synthetic ropes are more resistant to rotting than ropes created from natural fibers, have a higher tensile strength,[3] and can be made to float on water. However, synthetic rope can be damaged more easily by UV light.[2]
Materials
Common fibers used to make synthetic rope include nylon and polyester.[4]
