The VinFast VF 3 is a battery electric mini crossover SUV manufactured and marketed by VinFast of Vingroup from 2023.

The VF3 was designed for Vinfast by Gomotiv Design Studio, which has studios in Melbourne, Australia and San Diego, California.

Overview

The VinFast VF 3 was unveiled in 2023 in Vietnam.[2][3] Although only around 10 feet in length, this 2-door hatchback mini-SUV accommodates 4 seats. It was first sold in Vietnam, then Philippines in 2024, then in Indonesia in 2025.[4] The range is reportedly as 130 miles NEDC.[5]

In August 2024, VinFast delivered the first batch of VF3s to customers who made the earliest deposits after the opening for sale without disclosing the exact figures.[6]

Reception

The VF 3 went on sale and began accepting deposits on May 13, 2024[7][8] After 66 hours, it received 27,649 deposits.[9][10] On August 1, 2024, VinFast delivered the first batch of VF 3 cars to Vietnamese customers at Vinhomes Riverside.[11][12] All three models, VF 7, VF 3, and VF Wild, were designed by Gomotiv.[13][14]
