Description This gameplay clip showcases a battle between the Destined One, who is the player-controlled character, and Yellow Loong in the 2024 video game Black Myth: Wukong. The sequence demonstrates the Destined One performing a few of the possible moves corresponding to each of the staff stances.

The following briefly describes the moves:

  • In Thrust Stance, the player character starts with a Deadly Dance and follows it up with a Whirling Thrust. A Deadly Dance happens when a Thrust Stance Heavy Attack is activated immediately after a Roll (Dodge) or perfect Dodge while four focus points are available.
  • In Smash Stance, he does a Resolute Strike against an incoming enemy blade strike. A Resolute Strike happens when a Smash Stance Varied Combo is activated perfectly timed to an incoming enemy attack, resulting in the nullification of that enemy attack.
  • He activates Rock Solid, which is an Alteration Spell, to parry an incoming enemy lightning strike.
  • In Pillar Stance, he then quickly executes a Heavy Attack.
  • Throughout the fight, he does Light Attacks and Dodges. Dodges perfectly timed to an incoming enemy attack leave an illusion of the character.

The bottom right HUD icon represents several elements: Firstly, it shows the current staff stance, which determines the ways the staff can be used. Secondly, it shows the focus, a resource used in fights. Successful Light Attacks and well-timed Dodges build up focus to fill a meter on the left side of the icon. Once filled, one of the orbs on the right side of the icon glows to indicate that a focus point is gained. These points are used to do Heavy Attacks and Varied Combos.
