Finance:Fusion Blockchain
The Fusion Blockchain[1][2][3] is an EVM-compatible blockchain relying on Ticketed POS that launched in June 2019[4] and was funded by an ICO held in early 2018.[5]
Fusion originally sought to bring about an era of "crypto finance", a field which is now more well known as DeFi.
Fusion is most well-known for its ability to slice coin contracts up in time[6] and its interoperability solution DCRM[7] (which relies on innovation in the field of SMPC) and was featured in a report by ECB on the topic of interoperability.[8]
In late 2019 a Fusion Foundation wallet suffered a notorious theft[9] which became a deathblow to the organization in its current shape at that time.
In 2020 a cross-chain application called AnySwap was founded on Fusion. Currently it is known as Multichain[10] and is considered the major cross-chain bridge for cryptocurrencies[11], but also no longer directly tied to Fusion.[12]
In 2021 a rivaling application known as Chainge Finance[13] was founded on Fusion, which routes all it's cross-chain transactions through Fusion in a process known as cross-chain roaming[14] and hosts a full suit of DeFi services including decentralized futures and options trading.
