Single Use Components are the disposable componentry used in an increasingly popular method of pharmaceutical and biologics production. They differ from traditional Biopharmaceutical process components in that they are disposed of after use as opposed to cleaned or CIP'd. They can consist of disposable bag containers, tube sets, instrumentation, electrical connectors, filters and disposable valves.

Many companies have adopted this platform for its ease of adapting to new product development needs and the flexibility it allows in adjusting to varying product supply and demand.
