Opinit

Opinit is an emotion-based platform created by Paolo Fidanza and Qualid Ladraa. Paolo and Qualid, who goes by the name of Q, incubated the idea of creating a new way to categorize and consume content based on emotion tags in early 2014. In June 2014, Paolo and Q founded Opinit, Inc. in Los Angeles, California, with Paolo as CEO and Q as CMO, and started development of the platform. In October 2014, Andrew Kurinnyi joined as CTO to lead technology development, and Slimane Bennis joined as an early stage partner. In May 2015, a first version of Opinit for the iOS platform was released to a small group of beta testers. After successful testing, at the end of June 2015, Opinit was approved by Apple and released in the Apple Store for download on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.[1]

In August 2015, it was announced that Brandon Korff joined the company’s advisory board. Korff is co-founder of Miami-based Panoply Properties and was formerly with MTV Networks, National Amusements Incorporated (the controlling shareholder of Viacom and CBS) and Shady Records.[2]

In July 2016, Fundamental Applications Corporation, a leading developer of innovative smartphone applications targeted toward millennials, announced the signing of a Letter of Intent to acquire 100% of Opinit LLC. As a combined entity the Opinit and Fundamental applications portfolio consists of roughly 250,000 users.[3]
