The Museum of Guahaba is an Archaeology museum in Limbé, Haiti. Guahaba is the indian name for Limbé. It was created by Dr. Williams Hodge as a small private museum in 1983.[1] Hodges was a Medical doctor and amateur archaeologist. Along with the University of Florida, expeditions were made around the Limbé Arrondissement in the 1970s and 1980s.

Exhibits

The museum contains pre-Columbian archaeological artifacts of the Arawak/Taino Amerindians.[2][3]

According to Haiti Libre news:

"This space houses mostly pieces from Puerto Real, one of the first 15 Spanish cities in the New World, built in 1503."[4][5]
