The University of Idlib is located in Idlib City, in territory controlled by Syrian opposition forces. The school was established in 2015 as part of Free Aleppo University, but became independent in 2017.
The university has 173 academic staff and 213 administrative workers who serve the 10.000 students, among them 172 postgraduates. As of January 2019, 1800 studenthave graduated from Idlib which encompasses 14 faculties and 6 further facilities.[1]
Admission is unrestricted except for the faculties of Medicine, Dentistry and Data Engineering.[2]
