From HandWiki

The Waller Institute for Research in Radiology (WIRR) is a non-profit organization founded during the COVID-19 pandemic and based in Philadelphia, PA. WIRR members conduct and publish research pertaining to medical imaging (as well as Health Economics) in the contexts of topics including, but not limited to, COVID-19, by providing remote, quarantine-friendly research opportunities. Its CEO is Joseph Waller, who graduated from the University of Chicago and is now affiliated with Drexel College of Medicine. With six virtual labs, over 30 research fellows, and research advisers from universities including UCSF, Dartmouth, and Northwestern, WIRR hopes to reduce disparities in access to medical research participation, in addition to combating the reduced medical research activities that resulted from the quarantine.[1]
