The work of architectural historian Manfredo Tafuri influenced the movement, and the University Iuav of Venice emerged as a center of the Tendenza after Tafuri became chair of Architecture History in 1968.[1]: 157 et seq. A Tendenza exhibition was organized for the 1973 Milan Triennale.[1]: 178–183
