Holosonics is a Watertown, MA firm that is developing and manufacturing directional loudspeaker technology called the Audio Spotlight. The technology is based upon the sound from ultrasound effect. The company's founder is Dr. F. Joseph Pompei, an M.I.T. PhD who at age 16 became the youngest acoustic engineer at Bose Corporation [citation needed].
