Religion:Anglicans Online
Anglicans Online (sometimes abbreviated as AO) is an unofficial weekly news magazine of the Anglican Communion. Its editorial staff is private and unaffiliated. A project of the Society of Archbishop Justus founded in 1994, AO includes more than 32,000 links and has more than 250,000 readers. Its editorial line is liberal theologically, but displays a deep affection for Anglican traditions and history. The site includes listings of Anglican organizations, official websites and parish websites. Continuing Anglican organizations are also listed, but the personal ordinariates within the Roman Catholic Church for former Anglicans are not. The site is updated each Sunday night by a volunteer staff who also write a weekly editorial letter commenting on matters of church history, theology or politics. As of August 2016, the editors of Anglicans Online are Brian Reid, Richard Mammana, Allie Graham, and Benjamin Hicks. Managing editor Cynthia McFarland died in 2014. Volunteer staff members come from the UK, Canada, and the United States.
