Social:Al-Mushayt
From HandWiki
Al-Mushayt (Arabic: آل مُشَيْط) is a family from the Al-Ghanem branch of the Shahran tribe in Saudi Arabia. They are recognized as sheikhs and leaders of the Shahran tribe. The family is well-known in Khamis Mushait and also in Wadi Bisha, where they are often referred to as Bisha Mushayt.[1][2][3]
Origin
In the 17th century AH, they migrated from Al-Hamrah, led by Sheikh Salem bin Hussein. Many members of his tribe accompanied him to the regions of Shahran near Wadi Bisha, as they were nomadic Bedouins. The Al-Mushait family purchased farms in the village of Nu‘man from one of the local Sharifs residing there.[4]
