Social:Congregation (university)
From HandWiki
A congregation, in some (especially British) institutions, is a formal meeting of a university, particularly for awarding degrees, and thus, by extension, the graduation ceremony at those universities. These include the University of Cambridge,[1] Durham University,[2] the University of Birmingham,[3] the University of Warwick,[4] the University of Kent[5] and Northumbria University.[6]
At the University of Oxford, the congregation is the sovereign governing body.[7][8]
