ABC NewsLinks, also known as ABC NewsLinks: The Current Events Resource[3], is a software CD-ROM from Creative Wonders.[4]

Summary

ABC NewsLinks contains multimedia presentations of today's news.[5] It covers 100 world leaders, 250 countries, political turmoil as well as other information.[5] ABC anchor Forrest Sawyer is the host of ABC NewsLinks.[6]

Development

ABC NewsLinks was developed by Creative Wonders, a company founded as a joint venture between Capital Cities/ABC and Electronic Arts.[7][8]

Reception

CNET called ABC NewsLinks a valuable addition to a home reference library.[5] Wisconsin State Journal recommended ABC NewsLinks, saying to give it a look if you are a AOL subscriber.[9]

Profits were held back for the CD-ROM producer behind ABC NewsLinks, which prompted an £150,000 write-off as a result of the product.[10]
