Corrector.co is a free online grammar checker, and all its features are available for free, through computer desktop, tablet and mobile.
At the beginning of 2020, the tool was available in 15 languages: English.[1], Italian[2], Spanish[3], French[4], Portuguese[5], Russian[6], German[7], Chinese[8], Polish[9], Romanian[10], Swedish[11], Dutch[12], Greek[13], Japanese[14] and Slovak[15]. Corrector.co is using the open-core model offered by LanguageTool.
Initially, the tool was only offered in English, Spanish and Italian.
The tool was created by Giuseppe Faraone in 2019 and a small team of three other people. The website runs on WordPress, and it's effortless and straightforward to use. There is also a Google Chrome Extension available to download for free. A second extension, this time for Mozilla Firefox, is now in the making.
When it comes to the mobile version, instead, it should be live during Q4 of 2020.
The aim of Corrector.co is providing a free-grammar tool[16] to everyone in need of assistance or help while writing. A lot of students[17] and professional workers may have issues in finding a free and easy-to-use tool for this purpose, and this tool has been made for them.
The team working on this tool is aiming to make it accessible in other countries, to help people in need of grammar assistance[18]
