Software:NPR One
NPR One is a mobile app from NPR (National Public Radio), first launched in July 2014, which aims at making it easier for listeners to stream local NPR stations live, and listen to NPR podcasts by autoplaying content and permitting easy navigation.[1]
Supported devices
Since launch NPR has made the service available on additional channels: Windows mobile devices, web browsers, Chromecast, Apple Car Play, Apple Watch, Android Auto, Android Wear, Samsung Gear S2 and S3, Amazon Fire TV, and Amazon Alexa-enabled devices.[2]
Popularity/Ranking
App Annie, as of April 2017, ranked NPR One in the top 20 (and often top 10) of News apps in recent months; and noted that the iOS App Store featured NPR One as the first app featured in the store under the category "News: Listen Up!" (news audio apps).[3]
The New York Times "2016 in Review" included NPR One as one "this year's best apps". [4]
