Trustless system
From HandWiki
Short description: Cryptographic system not requiring trust

Trustless system is a, usually cryptographic, system where all involved stakeholders are not required to trust none of each other[1] so allowing participants to engage in more precisely audited transactions.[2] One of its most important technologies are immutable ledgers.[3]
Uses
It is especially useful for:[4]
- Information technology audit transparency[2]
- Blockchain proof of stake
- Consensus algorithms
- Decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) zero trust architecture (ZTA)
- Decentralized finance (DeFi) financial technology (fintech)
- Smart contracts proof of work
