Unsolved:Fire needle acupuncture

From HandWiki

Fire needle acupuncture also known as fire needling is an acupuncture technique which involves quickly inserting a red hot needle into areas on the body.[1] Deep insertions result in greater pain and other side effects.[2] Fire needling combines conventional acupuncture and cauterization with heated needles therapy.[3]

The technique has been present since ancient times, though the term was phrased as "puncturing with a red-hot needle".[4][5]

Technique

The method is based on Chinese medicinal belief of meridian. Heated needles are applied on ashi points.[6]
