The Fabunan Antiviral Injection is an antiviral drug developed by Filipino doctors Ruben Fabunan and Willie Fabunan. The drug, which has been patented in the United States with Willie and his family, is known to have successfully treated patients for dengue, chikungunya, dog bite, snakebite, and HIV/AIDS, and is also known to strengthen the immune system with its immune booster formula.[1]

COVID-19 treatment claims

In 2020, reports in social media circulated online claiming that the drug was able to cure coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The Philippine government has since disapproved this claim, citing that the drug is not being considered as a cure for the virus, and also stressed that the approval of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is required before the drug can be considered a cure for the coronavirus. On April 1, 2020, the government issued a cease and desist order to Fabunan Medical Clinic in Zambales, prompting the clinic to stop its operations on April 2.[2][3][4]
