1:50 scale diecast construction vehicles

Heavy equipment or construction vehicle modelling is a hobby in which heavy equipment is modelled at a reduced scale.

In the US they are commonly sold as promotional models for new construction equipment, commissioned by the manufacturer of the prototype real-world equipment. The major manufacturers in Germany are Conrad and NZG, with some competition from Chinese firms that have been entering the market.[1]

Heavy equipment modelling is sometimes done in Lego bricks.[2] The construction and addition of built to scale heavy equipment in a construction site is seen as a good addition to a model railroad.[3][4]

Some models go so far as to use hydraulic and radio control.[5]
