Heavy equipment or construction vehicle modelling is a hobby in which heavy equipment is modelled at a reduced scale.

In the US they are commonly sold as promotional models for new construction equipment, commissioned by the manufacturer of the prototype real-world equipment. The major manufacturers in Germany are Conrad and NZG, with some competition from Chinese firms that have been entering the market.

Heavy equipment modelling is sometimes done in Lego bricks. The construction and addition of built to scale heavy equipment in a construction site is seen as a good addition to a model railroad.

Some models go so far as to use hydraulic and radio control.
