Tritonia lineata is a species of dendronotid nudibranch. It is a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Tritoniidae.[2]

Description

Tritonia lineata was originally discovered in 1846 and described by British malacologists Joshua Alder and Albany Hancock in 1848.[1]

Distribution

The type locality is Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England .[1] Tritonia lineata is found at scattered localities on the coasts of Great Britain and Ireland and in southern Norway and Brittany, France.[3] It has also been reported from the Adriatic Sea, Croatia.[4]
