Conturbatia crenata is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Streptaxidae.[1] It is the only species in the genus Conturbatia.[2]

Conturbatia crenata is possibly extinct.[1] The last record of this species alive was in 2000.[1] It is thought, that the population of Conturbatia crenata has been poisoned with rodenticide Brodifacoum in 2000.[1]

Distribution

Conturbatia crenata is endemic to the Frégate Island in the Seychelles.[1]

Description

Conturbatia crenata has reduced radula.[2]

Ecology

Conturbatia crenata lives in woodland areas with Pterocarpus indicus, also known as the New Guinea Rosewood tree.[2] It inhabits leaf litter and habitats with dead wood.[1]

Conturbatia crenata feeds on carrion.[2]
