Rineloricaria maquinensis[1] is a species of catfish in the family Loricariidae. It is a freshwater fish native to South America, where it occurs in the basins of the Maquiné River and the Araranguá River in Brazil . It is typically found in small creeks with clear, shallow water and rocky substrates. The species reaches 8.5 cm (3.3 inches) in standard length and is believed to be a facultative air-breather.[2]
