Aspergillus albertensis is a species of fungus in the genus Aspergillus. It is from the Flavi section.[2] The species was first described in 1985.[1] It was isolated from a human ear in Canada .[2] A. albertensis has been shown to produce ochratoxin A and B.[2] It forms yellow spores.[3]
Growth and morphology
A. albertensis has been cultivated on both Czapek yeast extract agar (CYA) plates and Malt Extract Agar Oxoid® (MEAOX) plates. The growth morphology of the colonies can be seen in the pictures below.
