Aciagrion approximans,[2] Indian violet dartlet,[3] is a species of damselfly in the family Coenagrionidae. It is found in east[1][4] and south[5][3][4] of India . The range extends to Thailand, China and Cambodia.[5][3][4]
Subspecies
Fraser considered the specimen found in northeast as Aciagrion approximans and in south as Aciargion hisopa race krishna.[6][5] A recent study revealed that the subspecies krishna found in south is not conspecific with A. hisopa and found to be very close to A. approximans found in northeast; but differing at the level of subspecies.[4][3]
