The Alabama pearl shell, scientific name Margaritifera marrianae, is a species of freshwater mussel, an aquatic bivalve mollusk in the family Margaritiferidae, the freshwater pearl mussels.
This species is endemic to the United States . It is threatened by habitat loss.[1]
